About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York. I provide psychotherapy for children, teens, and adults navigating emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. My work is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, which helps identify and understand the patterns, experiences, and emotions that shape thoughts, behaviors, and relationships.

I create a safe, supportive, and individualized space where clients can explore their experiences, process emotions, and develop practical coping strategies. My goal is to help clients gain insight, strengthen resilience, and achieve meaningful psychological growth.

I earned my Doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology (Psy.D.) from Pace University, where I also completed a Master’s in School Psychology. I hold an additional Master’s in Psychology from Adelphi University.

I completed my postdoctoral internship at the League Education and Day Treatment Center in Brooklyn and a postdoctoral fellowship in Inpatient Services at New York City Children’s Center. These experiences allowed me to work with people facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.

A psychologist is a doctoral-level licensed mental health professional with advanced training in human behavior, emotional functioning, and evidence-based treatment approaches. How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can help if you feel overwhelmed, low, struggle in relationships, experience difficulty coping with stress, or just want to understand yourself better. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek therapy for personal growth and self-awareness.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session focuses on understanding your concerns, history, and treatment goals. We’ll discuss what brings you in, what you hope to achieve, and how we might work together. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions to determine whether we’re a good fit.

How long does therapy last?

The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and needs. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy while others prefer longer-term work for deeper exploration and lasting change.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Frequency is adjusted depending on your progress and goals.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an in-network provider with Aetna and provide courtesy billing for Empire NYSHIP members. For all other insurances, I am an out-of-network provider. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee. This policy allows sufficient time to offer your appointment to another client who may be waiting for availability.

Do you offer virtual therapy?

I offer secure telehealth sessions. Online therapy is conducted through a HIPAA-compliant audio and video platform.

What therapeutic approaches do you use?

I was trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), and I also draw from third-wave, mindfulness-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My work integrates evidence-based strategies with a deep understanding of emotional and relational patterns.
